Kaity and Drew participated in a student's tournament at the Risner Tennis Center this afternoon. Every couple of months, the tennis center puts together a tournament for all the students who are currently taking lessons. This was both of the kids' first tournament experience!

In Kaitlyn's first game, she was very nervous. You could tell that when she'd make an error, she'd be very upset with herself. But as the game went on, and she won points, she started to build up her confidence a bit.

Kaity went on to win against Arlo, 6-2. Here they are shaking hands once the match was won.

In the next game, the championship game, Kaity felt more confident with her serves. She had some really great ground strokes. There were some awesome rallies going on between both the players.

Kaity went on to win the match, 6-0 for the championship game in her bracket.

Andrew's got an AWESOME serve going on! His ground strokes are pretty good as well, although he's not as consistent with it like he is with his serve.

Drew went on to win his first game of the tournament 6-0.

The second game of Drew's bracket was an awesome game! The girl he played, Emma, had a wicked top spin on her ground strokes. The combination of Drew's serves, and Emma's ground strokes would make a phenomenal player!

Andrew lost the championship game, 5-6. It was really close match!

The kids both received tennis shirts, for placing 2nd and 1st in the tournament! It looks like this is their first and last tournament here in Okinawa...the next tournament won't be played until February. I am SO proud of the kids today. They played so great. It's nice to see how their weekly lessons have improved their skills!
